Making it all free

I am turning off paid subscriptions!

I started Under the Linden Tree because I was hungry for, perhaps starving for, connection and information about my Slavic ancestry. And so many of you have joined me on this journey which I am SO thankful for!

With the new year so fresh and promising, I’ve thought more about what I want this publication to be. I want it to be a place where anyone and everyone of the Slavic diaspora can come and connect with their ancestors. So, I’ve decided to make the entire publication free. You’ll get the same access to the articles and podcast, but without having to pay. If you’ve paid for a whole year or have any remaining time on your monthly balance, you will be refunded.

I’m doing this because I view Under the Linden Tree as a passion project for me rather than a business. I want this to be a space completely free to be what it wants and to grow how it wants. For those of you who have pledged and supported this publication monetarily for the past many months, thank you so so much. It has given me the confidence and motivation to keep writing and exploring this topic.

I have so many things I want to write about and some wonderful interviews I can’t wait to share with you in the year to come. Thank you for being here, and I hope you’ll continue to join me here.
